This is an oil painting and my second version of the same scene called Southern Sunday. This version is a little more tight, not quite as impressionistic as the first painting.

A lifetime resident of Salem, Virginia, (USA) Julie Riffey found her love of art around the age of five. Her talent developed from childhood crayons and pencils to the oil, acrylic, and soft pastel paintings she produces today. She has an Associate Degree in Fine Art from Virginia Western College and in the past, has taught children's art classes for 7 to 10 year olds. The enjoyment of seeing artistic talent evolve in children is unparalleled. She hopes that she instilled a love of art in those children for a lifetime.
