Artist's Description
This is a still life I made using my Granny's tea kettle. She used to use this kettle, not only for coffee water, but to heat all hot water in her house. She finally got a hot water heater when her new daughter-in-law told her grownup kids they needed to buy her one! This kettle dates to the 1950s.
About Julie Brugh Riffey
A lifetime resident of Salem, Virginia, (USA) Julie Riffey found her love of art around the age of five. Her talent developed from childhood crayons and pencils to the oil, acrylic, and soft pastel paintings she produces today. Julie uses a variety of mediums: oil, acrylic, soft chalk pastel and pencil. She paints or draws landscapes, birds, animals, and portraits- all in the realistic style.
