Description
This is a scarlet Flamingo pair in a tropical lagoon. the original painting is a 12" x 16" oil on gallery wrapped canvas. The original painting wraps around the 1.5" sides. Flamingos get their feather color based on their diet of micro organisms. They can be white, pink, coral and red and even black. They usually only lay one egg per year. If it is destroyed by predators or climate disasters, they don't usually lay another one. I think they are very elegant birds and are very unique.
