Description
This is a scene of sheep grazing with the Gap of Dunloe, Kilarney Ireland in the background. One of my 5 days in Kilarney, Ireland, was partially spent in a horse-drawn buggy, traveling up the Gap of Dunloe. It was a bitterly cold day for May (I am a Southern United States girl) and I was freezing all day but could not help enjoying all the beauty before me. We had a picnic lunch at the top and once we started down the mountain, we stopped to board little boats that took us across "Tomies Lake" and back to our Hotel of Europe lodging. A lot of the mountainous terrain in Kilarney is rocky like this. We saw lots of sheep grazing. I took artistic license and left the spray- painted red and blue spots off of the sheeps' wool. That is how they determine who the sheep belong to by the spray-painted colors on their backs. I don't think there are enough colors of green in my artist's box of paints to cover all the green shades of Ireland!

My favorite place in my driving tour of Ireland was our scary drive on the "Horse Trail" and my one painting from Ireland was of the stone bridge over the stream.. This painting just puts mine to shame.. you captured the magic... and your sheep are perfect. F/L & Voted
